Casa de Campo - a great place for the whole family

Visiting #dominicanrepublic and playing @casadecampo #teethofthedog is a place golfers and their families could consider for their next golf and lifestyle destination Why? Teeth of the Dog With seven of the eighteen holes being ocean side brings little let up for any wayward shots. You could find yourself shooting over inlets, coves or beaches to what seems like a small green. Of course the greens aren’t that small but some do have a tendency to slope towards the water! It has to be said this Pete Dye course is a bit of a love it or hate it kind of course. And I’ve experienced both sides of that feeling on different days during the same trip! Pete Dye says ‘the ardent golfer would play Mount Everest if somebody put a flagstick up there’. He confronts critics who believe his golf courses are too difficult, and relishes in the opportunity he has been given to ‘mould Gods earth’ Taking inspiration from the golfers themselves creating lasting memories. At Casa de Campo there are three championship golf courses, with Teeth of the Dog being the best known. Whilst visiting this Caribbean purpose made destination you can indulge in so many more things. This makes it an ideal spot for golfers and non-golfers alike. After golf we’d jump in the buggies which are provided for your personal use. A daily stop by the beach and sit in the water watching the sun go down. Jumping back in the buggy and back to the room to get ready for dinner at one of its seven restaurants. I was lucky to be on the same flight as the chap who ran the shooting school at the time, he invited me to have a go on the range - another kind of range for a nice change! A few friends were able to join me. It was brilliant to not only experience shooting but to watch others take part. Golfers who have never had the opportunity previously. It certainly made for good conversation that night. Shooting skeet and traps was great fun. **No animals (or golf tour operators) were harmed in the making of this trip**
A shout out to all the other great people who made this trip so special. Whilst a few years ago now, I still have wonderful memories of my visit to Casa de Campo in Dominican Republic. Could this be your special place? Golf Guru Group - the home of unique fun promotions

  1. I wanted to completely discover why Honma clubs are held in such high esteem and why it took a while to seek out any information about how they create their equipment. I started at their main centre of operations, a factory based in Sakata (in northern Japan, just north of Shonai airport).
    honma 4 star clubs
