Guess the Link 2

Two images, but how are they linked?
The first a bear enjoying the sunshine. The second image a well known car manufacturer.
One venue that links the two photos 1. I played this golf course a couple of times but it hasn’t yet featured on my social media pages! 2. Originally designed by Tom and George Fazio 3. Regarded as some of the toughest finishing holes, (15, 16 and 17) on the Circuit. 4. Redesigned in 1990 by Jack Nicklaus 5. These iconic holes are named after the course re-designer Got it? I think this one is quite easy, but then I wrote it! The Answer is PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida Just over an hour North of Miami this place is big… There are actually five golf courses on site, and as the name suggests a hotel and spa too. Home of the Honda classic since 2007, it is a big operation which runs exceptionally smoothly. One of the times I visited, I was invited by the Colombian Golf Federation to play in their annual event. At that time, they were looking to do something similar in the UK, so was seeking some assistance to assess its feasibility. My Spanish is sketchy at the best of times, fortunately for me, many of the Colombians spoke English. It was a great trip and one I remember for making new friends, some I had met previously, most I hadn’t. All were kind, warm and welcoming to me as a single golfer joining an established group. It was a very well organised event. I found out that they didn’t play stableford. When I asked why, I was told that they felt cheated playing that format. Of course the inevitable result was slow rounds. Another anomaly, regardless of ability all the female golfers were put out at the end of the field, ie after all the males. Rather than mixing up the groups as per handicap or ability, it was strictly male then female - then it was in handicap order. Being a shot-gun start did spread out the field a little bit, but I was in early groups so it didn’t take long to catch up! The end result was my longest round …. ever. It took 7 hours to play 18 holes and I was ready to pull my hair out at the end of it, with hysteria almost creeping in. I was exhausted too! However, for some bizarre reason I won a prize at the final evening presentation. No idea what for, my Spanish wasn’t that good, but the laughs a friendships continued into the night I loved being with these people, they were so friendly and welcoming and tried their hardest to communicate with me, as I did them. Golf was our common language, it bridged the gap with ease despite the language differences. Who else has used golf as the common language?
